WILD CHERRIES RAG

by Ted Snyder - 1908

Arranged for plectrum banjo by Ed Cuneo

This rag lays surprisingly well on the plectrum. Like other rags, though, to be performed successfully, it takes some specialized fingering and good execution. The head pop and slur in the trio and also when the trio repeats, add novelty and interest.

It helps to have a piano and/or tuba and any other supporting instrument you can get for support.

This arrangement solves the fingering problems and provides a good musical foundation for any banjoist ambitious enough to learn to play this tune without corrupting it in some way.

Play this piece exactly as I have written it. Below is a short sample of the arrangement.

Arrangements will be personalized and printed on 8 1/2 by 11, bright white, 24lb paper.
